The American Surgical Association awarded the prestigious 2026 Flance-Karl Award to Dr. Sandy Feng — transplant surgeon, surgeon-scientist, and our department's Vice Chair of Research — in recognition of her research with lasting clinical impact on transplantation.
Presented during the ASA’s 146th Annual Meeting in Seattle, the Flance-Karl Award is one of the Association’s two highest honors for scientific contributions, recognizing an ASA Fellow whose has meaningfully advanced surgical practice.
Founded in 1880, the American Surgical Association is the oldest and among the most prestigious surgical societies in the United States. Congratulations to Dr. Feng on this extraordinary recognition.
